Reasons to watch: LG+ U is offering up another fantastical concept in its new drama, Love in Sync. Starring L and Kang Min-ah, with Kwon So-hyun in a supporting role.
L is a highly sought-after psychologist who has built a reputation for being able to treat even the toughest cases. His highly empathetic nature helps to inform unusual treatment methods for his clients, and he basically has a zero failure rate. But even the experts can be confounded, and his greatest challenge appears in the form of Kang Min-ah.
Kang was once a beloved idol, but a transition to acting hasn’t panned out for her. It definitely doesn’t help that she’s been told since childhood to control her emotions, to the point that as an adult she’s unable to show any feelings at all. Her career-related frustrations take her to L’s office, where she seeks out his help to unlock her feelings. They get on like oil and water, but their relationship undergoes a seismic shift when they’re suddenly able to hear and experience each other’s feelings. So at a pivotal time in their lives, the man who feels too much, and the woman who can’t seem to feel grow closer and start to see they might have found their other half in each other.
Watch for a quirky romance that’s giving old school K-drama vibes with its fantasy set up. It’s also been a minute since we’ve seen L on the screen, so I’m looking forward to seeing him back in action.
