Josh Allen is opening up about fatherhood!
The 30-year-old NFL star welcomed his first child, a baby girl named Harper, with wife Hailee Steinfeld back in April.
In a new interview with E! News, Josh was asked about the inspiration behind their newborn’s name.
“It was an early thought that we had,” he revealed. “It was my wife’s idea.”
When pressed further, Josh said, “[Hailee] can answer that question better than I can.”
In another new interview, Josh dished on starting a new season of football as a new dad.
“I love being a dad,” he told People.
The quarterback admits his sleep schedule is “definitely not” what it was before, and talks about his changing sleep schedule will be for the upcoming season.
“You learn about the unpredictability of what sleep is and just the interrupted part of it, but again, I love being a dad and I welcome that, but when I know I can get that extra sleep and having Natrol at the ready has been life changing for me,” he said.
Josh also says his mindset has changed since becoming a dad.
“I’ve said this in a few different interviews in Buffalo, of why my ‘why’ has changed and why I’m doing this, and it’s not a personal ‘why’ anymore,” he shared. “It’s to show this little daughter that me and my wife are trying to raise how hard you need to work to accomplish something so great, so, I don’t think that the approach changes, but the why behind it does.”
If you missed it, earlier this year, Josh admitted one thing he can’t stop doing that drives Hailee crazy.
