Country singer RaeLynn, real name Racheal Lynn Woodward, has filed for divorce from husband Joshua Davis after more than 10 years of marriage.
The 32-year-old The Voice alum shared the news via a statement posted to Instagram on Tuesday (July 14).
“After much thought and prayer, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” RaeLynn wrote. “This has not been an easy decision. As a working mom, I am committed to giving my daughter the love, stability, and support she will need while we navigate this next chapter together.”
She went on to express gratitude for “the love and encouragement of my family, friends, and fans.”
“I respectfully ask for privacy as we move forward with grace and compassion,” she concluded.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, RaeLynn filed for divorce on June 8 in Davidson County, Tennessee, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason. She is seeking primary custody and child support for their daughter Daisy Rae, 4. RaeLynn is asking for equitable distribution of their assets.
The “Love Triangle” singer and former financial advisor became engaged in October 2015 and married less than a year later in February 2016. The couple announced they were expecting their first child together in May 2021, and welcomed Daisy later that year.
RaeLynn is not the first country singer to announce their divorce this month.
