Mel C got married over the weekend!
On Saturday (July 18), the 52-year-old singer married Australian model Chris Dingwall in an intimate ceremony in the English countryside held at the Country House Cumbria.
While Mel‘s longtime friends and Spice Girls bandmates Mel B, Emma Bunton, and Geri Halliwell were all in attendance, fellow bandmate Victoria Beckham was noticeably missing.
Victoria, 52, wasn’t able to attend the nupitals because she’s been in the United States with husband David Beckham for the 2026 World Cup.
“I have loved our football tour!!” Victoria wrote along with a photo of herself and David, 51, holding hands on her Instagram Story as they watched Spain defeat Argentina to win the World Cup title on Sunday (July 19).
While she wasn’t able to attend the wedding, Victoria did design the custom ivory lace slip dress that Mel wore on her big day.
In a wedding profile with Vogue, Mel revealed that ahead of her wedding in England, she wore another dress from Victoria‘s collection for her private civil ceremony in Australia.
“Victoria’s dress was my something borrowed,” Mel shared. “It was very special, having her there.”
Once Victoria learned that Mel was planning a bigger wedding celebration in England, she offered to design her “dream dress.”
“Victoria wanted to make it much more personal to me,” Mel explained. “She found some gorgeous vintage lace, and everything was really delicately dyed to the perfect shade. It’s very flattering, open at the back.”
“Victoria was so excited about being able to do this for me, and having her and Scarlet [Mel’s 17-year-old daughter from her relationship with Thomas Starr] there … every step of the way has been very special,” she added. “Plus, I just love her clothes.”
