Odelya Halevi is having a baby!
On Monday (July 20), the 37-year-old actress, who plays Assistant District Attorney Samantha Maroun on Law & Order, announced that she is pregnant with her and husband Aaron Mazor‘s first child.
The couple are expecting a baby girl, who is due in December.
“I found out I was pregnant the traditional way — peeing on a stick,” Odelya recalled to People. “It was the day after we wrapped season 25 of Law & Order, and looking back, the signs were definitely there.”
“I had spent the entire week casually wandering into the producers’ office and helping myself to all the chocolate they had sitting out, which is very unlike me,” she continued. “I remember thinking, ‘Who is this person?’ And then it hit me.”
Odelya went on to detail the moment she told Aaron, a luxury real estate agent, she’s pregnant.
“It’s something we both really wanted so deeply. I remember shaking [from] excitement,” Odelya said. “It was so incredibly intimate and special.”
“Just a few days ago, I felt her kick for the first time,” she added. “I don’t think there’s a way to fully put that feeling into words. Knowing there’s this little life growing inside of me, and now actually feeling her move, creates a connection that’s unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. It’s a beautiful reminder every single day of why all the challenges of pregnancy are worth it.”
Odelya also shared her excitement about welcoming her daughter.
“I can’t wait to meet my little girl,” she said. “I already feel like I know her in some ways, and I’m so excited to finally see her face, find out who she looks like and get to know what I can only imagine will be a big personality.”
“I’m also really looking forward to getting my lungs back…and getting off the couch in one attempt,” she joked.
Odelya and Aaron have been together for years and married in June 2025.
