Ryan Reynolds will be back as Deadpool once again.
The 49-year-old actor made an appearance at Fanatics Fest 2026, where he confirmed that another Deadpool movie is on the way for the Marvel Cinematic Universe after the box office smash success of 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine.
“There’s a few really deep cuts that I think are missing from the movies. I think there’s a few deep cuts missing from some of the comics,” he began to explain onstage.
“There’s certainly some stuff that I love that [co-creator of Deadpool] Fabian [Nicieza] wrote that is incredible. Gerry Duggan, who was a friend, was an incredible comic writer. There’s stuff upcoming. There’s eventually, you know, there will be another Deadpool film. It’s going to be great.”
He previously revealed in April that he had started writing “some stuff” for the next film.
There have been three Deadpool movies released thus far, starting with the 2016 film which was followed by 2018’s Deadpool 2 and then by Deadpool & Wolverine in 2024.
