Ahn Bo-hyun comes back with an upgrade in Flex x Cop 2

SBS has dropped the first teaser and poster for crime-action Flex x Cop 2 with its titular lead Ahn Bo-hyun (Spring Fever) reprising his role. While most of Season 1’s detectives will be coming back, Jung Eun-chae (Honour) joins the team as their new leader.
The teaser begins with Jin Yi-soo (Ahn Bo-hyun) sipping a glass of alcohol on his private jet with, I’m assuming, his teammates Kang Sang-joon (Azure Spring) and Kim Shin-bi (The First Night with the Duke). The trip, though, is for work and not pleasure as Yi-soo takes out a group of men while dressed up as a mariachi band.
Like in the previous season, Yi-soo has more cash than he can spend, and unlike most cops, he can throw money at a problem to fix it (or at least make it easier to solve). As he pulls out a helicopter to catch a serial killer, not everyone is amused with his antics, especially his new team leader Joo Hye-ra (Jung Eun-chae).
When Yi-soo sees Hye-ra ride up on her motorcycle to the station, he mutters under his breath that this is a nightmare, and she corrects him: “This is reality.” The two met before while he was in the police academy, and Yi-soo calls her the demon instructor who hates him. However, the two will have to put their personal feelings aside since a mysterious figure is out to get Yi-soo.
According to their new enemy, the game has just begun, and as a gift, they send the chaebol detective bombs and more bombs. As Hye-ra points out that the person has no qualms about killing Yi-soo, the teaser cuts to fellow chaebol heir Yoo Sung-won — played by Yoo Seung-ho (Deal) in a special appearance — as he complains about Korea having too many CCTVs.
Continuing the series, PD Kim Jae-hong (Flex x Cop) returns alongside writer Kim Ba-da (My Name). SBS’s Flex x Cop 2 begins its 14-episode adventure August 7 in the Friday-Saturday slot following Agent Kim Reactivated.
