TRAILER: Nicola Walker, Jemaine Clement, Joel Fry and Yali Topol Margalith star in Alice and Steve, a ‘wrong-com’ from writer Sophie Goodhart that debuts on Disney+ in the UK and Hulu in the US on June 8.
The six-part series stars Walker as Alice, who is devastated when her best friend Steve (Clement) starts dating her 26-year-old daughter Izzy (Margalith). She’s going to lose her best friend and her daughter in one fell swoop. Alice tries everything she can to end the relationship. Unfortunately for her, Steve’s more than ready for the attack, and what begins as a perfect friendship, devolves into an all-out feud.
The Hulu original series is created and written by Goodhart (Sex Education), produced by Clerkenwell Films (Baby Reindeer) and directed by Tom Kingsley (Stath Lets Flats).
It premieres on June 8 with all six episodes available on Disney+ in the UK and Ireland and Hulu in the US.
