Anne Hathaway has been happily married for years.
The 43-year-old Oscar-winning actress, who is currently on a whirlwind press tour worldwide amid her new movies Mother Mary and The Devil Wears Prada 2, has been married to Adam Shulman since 2012, and their longtime relationship is one of Hollywood’s enduring romances.
The couple first met in 2008 at the Palm Springs Film Festival, and Anne later admitted she knew almost instantly that he was the one.

“I’m going to marry that man,” she told a friend after meeting him. “I knew from the second I met him that he was the love of my life.”
Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman have been married for over a decade
Anne and Adam tied the knot in a private ceremony in Big Sur, California in September of 2012. They have since welcomed two sons together: Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6, and they’ve largely kept their family out of the spotlight and remained private.

Adam Shulman works in entertainment and design
Like his wife, Adam has experience in acting, with roles in projects like The West Wing and American Dreams. He is also a producer and jewelry designer, and even helped design Anne‘s engagement ring along with owning his brand, James Banks Design.

Anne Hathaway recently praised her husband’s support
Anne has been vocal lately about how much Adam means to her, especially during her busy 2026 with multiple film projects still on the way.
“He supports me completely,” she said to People. “This year in particular was unusual…he and I both know that it’s probably never going to happen like this again. And the way he stepped up, I mean, in every possible way, he’s the most extraordinary person I’ve ever met.”

“I’m so lucky that he’s my partner that I spend my life with. If I didn’t know that before this past year, I think I really know it now because with absolutely everything he’s just, he’s on it,” she added.

The couple recently enjoyed a date night together front row at a fashion show during NYFW.
