Surprise! Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur are married!
The two tennis stars secretly married on Sunday (July 12) while the Men’s Singles Finals was taking place at Wimbledon.
Katie, 29, of Britain and Alex, 27, of Australia married in “intimate” and “low key” ceremony at a church near Katie’s family home in Old Woodhouse, Leicestershire Village in England, according to The Daily Mail. The couple were married by a female vicar and a source told the outlet that the ceremony was deliberately low key” and “personal.”
Only a small number of family members were invited to the ceremony and locals in the area were “sworn to secrecy” about the wedding.
“Some people in the village knew the wedding was happening but were sworn to secrecy,” a source shared. “It’s not often two top tennis players get married in your local church, but out of respect for the family we kept it quiet.”
Katie and Alex both competed at Wimbledon this year, but they were eliminated from the competition.
The couple announced their engagement in December 2024.
