Jin Seon-gyu and Gong Myung are called to be Husbands in Action

Promos have kicked off for Netflix’s new buddy-cop comedy movie Husbands in Action, partnering former husband Jin Seon-gyu (The Price of Confession) with current husband Gong Myung (Filing for Love) to save their kidnapped (step)daughter Yeon-joo and (ex)wife Kang Hanna (Cashero) in the first teaser and poster set.
It’s certainly a reluctant team-up, as police detective Hwang Choong-shik (Jin Seon-gyu) and veterinarian Lee Min-seok (Gong Myung) have already been butting heads over parenting matters. And I’m on Choong-shik’s side when he argues that he has every right to attend school events as the change in his marital status doesn’t affect the fact that he will always be Yeon-joo’s doting dad.
However, the odd couple duo must put their petty squabbles aside and focus on the more important crisis that has occurred. You see, for several years, Choong-shik has been investigating an infamous drug cartel led by our two fabulously evil and married baddies, who have been living life large. But when Choong-shik manages to arrest the big boss Kim Ji-suk (Cashero), Lee Da-hee (S Line) retaliates by abducting both Yeon-joo and Shi-nae (Kang Hanna).
Thus begins the rescue mission and as we see in the action-packed sequence, we can expect plenty of shenanigans because cat. But also because the journey will entangle rival gang leader Yoon Kyung-ho (The Legend of Kitchen Soldier) as well as the justice-seeking reporter Jeon So-min (Sorry Not Sorry).
Landing on our screens next month, on Friday, June 19, Netflix movie Husbands in Action has filmmaker Park Kyu-tae (6/45) at the helm.
