Love Island USA is paying tribute to executive producer James Barker.
The late producer on the Peacock dating series sadly passed away last week after an “unexpected medical emergency” in Fiji.
On Tuesday night’s (June 16), the series shared a special tribute for the late member of their team.
At the end of the episode, before the preview for the next, the screen read, “For James,” before showing a series of photos of James through the years.
Following the photos, the screen the read “We love you” in white letters across a black screen.
Per Deadline, James started as a story producer on the show in 2020 before making his way up to executive producer. During his time on the show, he covered production and post-production, as well as overseeing the soundtrack for the series.
Host Ariana Madix also shared a special message to the islanders after the challenge on Tuesday’s episode, telling them, “None of us know how long we’ve got. For some that time can be cut way too short, so please cherish every moment.”
The day before, ITV America and Peacock released a statement about his sudden passing.
James‘ partner Adam Roth also spoke out about the loss, reflecting on the life they built together.
