Before he died, Oliver Tree, born Oliver Tree Nickell, said no one in his family would “get a penny” if he died.
The “Alien Boy” singer visited The Zach Sang Show for the April 25 episode and said he didn’t believe any of the wealth he received from his career is his.
“So when I die — I’ve set it up — my will is set up that when I pass, my family, no one’s going to get a penny,” he said at the time.
He also talked about what he might want for his future if he had a partner and started a family.
“If I have a wife or kids or anything, [they’re] not getting a f–king penny,” Oliver shared. “I’ll get my kids through college. That’s the agreement. But there’s not going to be a silver spoon. They’re taken care of because my dad worked on some stuff in the 2000s. The idea is, when I die, all the money is going to go back to artists.”
Oliver tragically died at the age of 32 on June 14 after two helicopters collided in Rio de Janeiro. He was one of six passenger fatalities.
Argentinean YouTuber Gaspi, or Gaspar Prim, was one of the other fatalities during the crash.
Oliver‘s final social media posts are gaining attention since his passing.
