U2 are back.
The legendary rock group returned Tuesday (July 7) with “Street of Dreams,” produced by Jacknife Lee.
This is the first song to be taken from the band’s yet-to-be announced new studio album – their first in nearly a decade – which is set to be released later in 2026.
The music video for “Street of Dreams” was filmed in Mexico City back in May, where the band also attended the 2026 Street Child World Cup Finals Tournament at Parque Ecológico Lago de Texcoco.
During the shoot, the band was swarmed by a huge crowd of fans amid bad weather, and thunder and rain caused a generator to crash, so a local family allowed U2 into their apartment to film on the balcony!

Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. will celebrate an unbelievable 50 years together as a band in September, after Larry posted a handwritten note (“Drummer seeks musicians to form band’’) on a notice board at Mount Temple Comprehensive School in Dublin, Ireland.
Their last studio album, Songs of Experience, was released in 2017. They released a re-recording album in 2023, Songs of Surrender. They have sold approximately 150 to 170 million records worldwide since their debut in 1980.
