Congratulations are in order for Rory Gibson!
The 30-year-old actor, who currently stars as Michael Corinthos on General Hospital, married longtime love Alicia Ruelas on Saturday (July 11) in Kauai, Hawaii.
Alicia, who is a model, shared the exciting news on her Instagram Story, sharing a photo of their wedding bands, while writing, “AAHHHH! OFFICIALLY MRS. GIBSON” along with the wedding ring and white heart emojis. She set the video to Natalie Cole’s song “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love).”
Rory‘s good friend and GH co-star Ryan Paevey (who just wrapped his run as Nathan/Cassius) played a special role in the couple’s big day. Ryan, who is a silversmith and jewelry maker, made Rory‘s wedding band.
Rory and Alicia are high school sweethearts and have been together for 15 years.
“I was 16 and she was 15 when we met,” Rory told Soap Opera Digest in 2021. “We actually went to different high schools in Bakersfield [California] and when we met, we ended up having a great conversation. I remember thinking, ‘Wow, this girl is really cool.’”
“We had only known each other a week when I decided I would ask her to be my girlfriend,” he added. “I did and she said yes. We’re very similar and we easily melded together.”
Rory proposed to Alicia in October 2022 while they were on vacation in Maui, Hawaii.
