Apple Music Increasing Subscription Prices Due to ‘Rising Licensing Costs’ – Just Jared – Celebrity News and Gossip

Apple Music is raising their subscription prices.

On Friday (July 17), Apple announced that they are increasing the price for its music-streaming service for subscribers in the United States and other countries.

The individual plan for Apple Music will now cost $11.99, up from $10.99. The family plan is now $19.99, up from $16.99, while the student plan is $6.99, up from $5.99.

“As a result of rising licensing costs, Apple Music is increasing its subscription price beginning today,” Apple said in a statement as the reason for the price increase, per Deadline.

Apple also increased a number of tiers of its Apple One bundles, which include Apple Music. The price increase start with the Family tier, now at $27.95 a month, up from $25.95, and the Premier plan is now $39.95, up from $37.95.

The individual plan remains unchanged and subscribers will continue to pay $19.95 a month.

The last time Apple Music increased its subscription prices was back in October 2022 when the individual plan rose to $10.99 from $9.99.
