Ha-young forgets about Our Sticky Love with Jung Hae-in
by lovepark
The first teaser has dropped for Netflix’s upcoming romantic-comedy Our Sticky Love starring Ha-young (Teach You a Lesson) and Jung Hae-in (Love Next Door). While the Korean title alludes to stickiness as well, the phrase holds a double meaning more akin to “screwed” or “f*cked” which is the appropriate response to our heroine’s situation.
Go Ji-won (Ha-young) is a prosecutor for the Anti-Corruption Department, and based on her introduction, she is living the high life. However, she seems to have caught the attention of some unsavory folks as gangster Heo Sung-tae (Fifties Professionals) orders his underling Jung Tae-ha (Jung Hae-in) to take care of a prosecutor for him.
One car explosion later, courtesy of Tae-ha, and our heroine wakes up in the hospital with amnesia. Her doctor Choi Dae-hoon (Agent Kim Reactivated) tells her that they could not identify her, and the scene cuts to her ridiculously bandaged fingers.
Cue bright lights as Tae-ha arrives at Ji-won’s side as her knight in shining armor, or more accurately, grubby track suit. Instead of the expected fanfare and hearts, she balks when she hears that he is her boyfriend and laments, “I heard he was a looker…” The more Ji-won hears about her so-called boyfriend, the less their relationship makes sense, especially the parts about her chasing after him.
While she continues to question his version of the truth, they remain stuck together until her memories return, and from the look of things, she seems to be falling for the small town boxing coach. In the meantime, though, our heroine sighs, “I am royally screwed.”
As for the production, the team behind You Raise Me Up reunites with PD Kim Jang-han (My Demon) directing and writer Mo Ji-hye penning scripts. Netflix’s Our Sticky Love drops all twelve episodes on August 7.
