  1. tvN has officially announced that Whale Star is on the horizon for 2027, with Choi Woo-shik (Would You Marry Me), Moon Ga-young (Law and the City), and Heo Nam-joon (My Royal Nemesis) headlining the webtoon-adaptation. Set during the Japanese annexation in mid-1920s Korea, the period romance will also star Yoo Jae-myung (Love Me), Kang Hanna (Cashero), Kim Yeo-jin (Beyond the Bar), and a guest appearance by Gong Seung-yeon (Perfect Crown). Filmmaker/PD Heo Jin-ho (A Normal Family, Love in the Big City) and PD Yoo Beom-sang (Study Group, Twinkling Watermelon) are at the helm. [Osen]

MBC has scheduled A Bona Fide Killer to broadcast in July, where Gong Hyo-jin (When the Stars Gossip) finds herself stretched between family and work, in addition to her side job as a vigilante sniper. Based on the popular webtoon by the same title, the thriller has lined up journalist husband Jung Joon-won (Resident Playbook), police detective Lee Sang-yi (The Legend of Kitchen Soldier), and work boss Sung Dong-il (We Are All Trying Here) as well. Production is being led by PD Yoon Jong-ho (Lovely Runner) and writer Kim Eun-hee (Ghost Doctor). [MBC]

Chae Won-bin (Sold Out on You) has been added to the ensemble cast in Disney+’s Moving 2, joining Ryu Seung-ryong (The Dream Life of Mr. Kim), Han Hyo-joo (Romantics Anonymous), and Jo In-sung (Dear My Friends), in addition to the many, many other talents. The fantasy-action’s second season is currently in filming, with scripts penned by the original webtoonist Kangfull (Light Shop) and Kim Sung-hoon (Kingdom) directing. [JTBC, Star News]

On KBS’s The Husband, it’s do or die for Namgoong Min (Our Movie) in the latest video teaser, putting him on the chase to find his not-so-beloved-wife Lee Seol (Our Movie) in order to prove his own innocence. Pitting him also against Kim Dae-myung (The Art of Negotiation) and Lee Sang-hee (The Price of Confession), the crime-suspense is slated to unfold on weekends, starting on July 4. [MBC]

A new batch of stills have come bundled in with Notes from the Last Row on Netflix, giving us another look at Choi Min-shik (Big Bet) and Choi Hyun-wook (My Dearest Nemesis), as well as other members of the supporting cast. Based on the Spanish play El chico de la última fila, screenwriter Jang Myung-woo (Bogota: City of the Lost) adapted the scripts alongside directing by PD Kim Kyu-tae (The Trunk, Our Blues).
