FIRST LOOK: Here’s some new images and a first clip of Tip Toe, the new drama from Russell T Davies starring Alan Cumming and David Morrissey coming soon to Channel 4.
Leo (Cumming) runs a bar on Canal Street, while Clive (Morrissey)’s an electrician with a wife and two sons. But when one man gives the other his front door key, it opens a world of fear, mistrust, prejudice and danger, as their lives collide. It’s neighbours at war like never before, in a tense suburban thriller which challenges everything we consider to be safe.
Jackson Connor plays Clive’s youngest son George, with Joseph Evans as George’s older brother Saul; Iz Hesketh as Zee and Shakeel Kimotho as Hanna, who both work at Leo’s bar Spit & Polish; Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo as the bar’s manager Judy; Paul Rhys as Melba, a Canal Street fixture; Stephen Bailey as Benny; and Denise Welch as Diane.
The series also stars Pooky Quesnel as Clive’s wife Marie, Elizabeth Berrington as Leo’s best friend Stephanie and Charlie Condou as Leo’s ex-husband Curtis.
Tip Toe is produced by Quay Street Productions, with Nicola Shindler, Russell T Davies, Peter Hoar and Alan Cumming as executive producers. The series is produced by Phil Collinson, directed by Peter Hoar and is cast by Andy Pryor.
ITV Studios will distribute the show internationally.
